Terms of use.
The terms that govern use of Articu's clinician-guided speech practice platform and pilot services.
Last reviewed: October 2026. These terms describe the current pilot-phase service and will be updated as the product launches.
Acceptance
By accessing or using Articu's website, pilot program or products, you agree to these terms. If you use Articu on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these terms for it.
Eligibility and account roles
Clinician accounts are intended for qualified professionals or their organizations. Child accounts are created and managed by clinicians or organizations, as described in the Child Privacy notice. Caregiver access is linked to the clinician's plan.
Service scope
Articu provides clinician-guided speech practice and speech intelligence tooling: assignments, guided practice, structured analysis and review workflows. Features in the pilot program are pre-release and may change or be discontinued.
No replacement for professional care
Articu is not intended to diagnose speech sound disorders or to replace evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment by a qualified speech-language pathologist. Clinical decisions remain with professionals. Structured findings, confidence bands and drafts are decision support only.
Acceptable use
- Use the service only with recordings you are permitted to collect and process.
- Do not upload recordings of third parties without appropriate consent.
- Do not attempt to identify children or other users from the data.
- Do not probe, scrape or disrupt the service or other users.
User content and recordings
You retain rights to content you and your clients create. You grant Articu the limited rights needed to provide the service (processing recordings, storing results, displaying progress). Training use requires separate opt-in consent, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
Articu's software, models, design and content are protected by intellectual property laws. Pilot participants may not use outputs to build competing speech-analysis products.
Third-party services
The service may rely on third-party infrastructure providers listed on the Subprocessors page. Those services are governed by their own terms.
Beta and pilot terms
Pilot features are provided “as is”, may be modified, and are not covered by service level commitments. Pilot feedback may be used to improve Articu without obligation or attribution.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Articu disclaims warranties not stated in a signed agreement. No claim is made of clinical effectiveness, regulatory clearance or certification unless explicitly documented.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Articu's aggregate liability is limited to the amounts paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim, except where a signed agreement states otherwise.
Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Data deletion follows the Privacy Policy and applicable retention settings.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be communicated to account holders in advance where practical.
